Warriors at Play is a safe, empowering, and healing space exclusively designed for Black femmes seeking to embrace their inner strength, resilience, and joy through the transformative power of play therapy. Our group aims to provide a supportive community where Black femmes can explore, express, and navigate their emotions, experiences, and challenges in a compassionate and understanding environment.
Are you a Black person who has experienced the pain of being ostracized or estranged from your family of origin? Do you long for a safe and supportive space to process your feelings, heal from the wounds of rejection, and find strength in community with others who share similar experiences? If so, Black Sheeps United is a transformative process therapy group specially designed for Black people navigating the complexities of family estrangement.
Our group provides a supportive environment where individuals can embark on a journey of healing and self-discovery. Through a blend of evidence-based therapies, mindfulness practices, and peer support, we offer a comprehensive approach to addressing trauma and fostering holistic well-being. Together, we aim to reclaim agency, build resilience, and explore pathways towards emotional, mental, and physical healing.
In this nurturing group, we utilize carefully selected books, poems, and other written materials that resonate with the experiences of mother wounds. Together, we embark on a shared exploration of these texts, delving into themes of mother-daughter relationships, attachment, forgiveness, and self-compassion.
As Black therapists, it is crucial to have spaces where we can rejuvenate, empower one another, and strengthen our identities within the therapeutic field. Empowerment Circle aims to be a beacon of support, fostering a community that celebrates diversity, challenges systemic barriers, and advocates for equitable mental health care for all.
We understand that navigating non-traditional relationship structures within the context of Black culture can bring unique challenges, and our group provides a safe space to explore, process, and celebrate diverse relationship styles.
We recognize that representation and visibility matter. Our group celebrates the resilience and strength of Black bisexual and pansexual individuals, as we work towards empowering each other and promoting understanding within the broader community.
